An amazing opportunity right in the middle of Roxborough State Park, the Rox Ride gives visitors with limited mobility, or those who simply prefer to view the wonders of the Park in the comfort of a converted, stretch golf cart, the chance to see parts of the Park up close and personal. The Rox Ride transports visitors for approximately two miles around the popular and scenic Fountain Valley trail, accompanied by your personal Park volunteer driver/guide. During the approximately 1.5 hour tour you will be able to view the dramatic geology the Park is famous for, see a variety of plant life and ecosystems, and hear brief descriptions of some of the history of the people who have inhabited this area of Colorado for thousands of years. With some luck and sharp eyes you may also see a variety of wildlife that make the Park their home including mule deer, black bear, wild turkeys and many varieties of birds, including raptors such as eagles and hawks. The Rox Ride is truly a unique way to see the beauty and majesty of this part of Colorado.
