Friends of Roxborough State Park in action!
The Friends of Roxborough State Park has supported the Leave No Trace movement at Roxborough State Park by giving financial support with attaining our Proud Partner status every year since 2017 and with our Gold Standard Designation in 2018. The organization has provided funds for materials to present workshops to educate our volunteers and to use as we present table talks every month of the year. Volunteers educate visitors about the Seven Principles with displays, interactive activities and information to prepare them to use good outdoor ethics at Roxborough and anywhere they go in nature. The Friends also supports the Leave No Trace group in attending outdoor conferences and the first Leave No Trace Global Summit in October of 2024.
